Which time zone does a fixed period use?
The exact date and time you enter—no additional time-zone conversion is applied.
After editing a fixed period, how fast is it updated on the store?
Changes save instantly, but Shopify cache may delay storefront updates by a few seconds.
If a visitor closes the tab, does a session timer continue?
Yes. Remaining time is stored in the browser’s localStorage, so the countdown resumes on return.
Can I hide the timer only on public holidays with Recurring?
Not yet. Recurring currently supports day-of-week and time-block rules only.
Will the timer stop automatically when a discount code expires?
Yes. Choose “Discount Period” and visibility syncs to the code’s active dates.
Can one timer use multiple schedule types?
No. Each timer holds a single schedule type. To switch, duplicate the timer and assign a new schedule.
Can I preview the schedule before publishing?
Yes. The admin preview mirrors real-time behavior—including “Waiting” status when future start times are set.
